The color, symbolizes the sun, the eternal source of energy. It spreads warmth, optimism, enlightenment. It is the liturgical color of deity Saraswati - the goddess of knowledge.

The shape, neither a perfect circle nor a perfect square, gives freedom from any fixed pattern of thoughts just like the mind and creativity of a child. It reflects eternal whole, infinity, unity, integrity & harmony.

The ' child' within, reflects our child centric philosophy; the universal expression to evolve and expand but keeping a child’s interests and wellbeing at the central place.

Lessons From Little Ones – 9

Part of series of articles published in IMAX (monthly journal of IMA Rajkot) based on real life incidents-2016

(As adults,  we are always eager to teach children  but often the little ones give us beautiful lessons in unexpected ways……Sharing here a series of such incidents mostly with my own children and few from other kids as well. They have created long lasting imprints on my memory.)

 God is holding hands!!

One night, I just finished a bedtime story, which in nutshell, went like this….

A small child always went to school and market with the mother holding his hands. As the child grew up, gradually the mother started leaving his hand on the roads that were easy to pass by. She continued holding the hand only in crowds or while crossing the busy roads.

The child worried what if sometimes he faces difficulties in life and finds that his mother is not there. The mother explained him that though invisible, God is always there, just like a mother to hold his hands. Pray to him daily and call him in times of difficulties, he would surely come.

Both the kids pondered on the story for a while.

“But there would be one difference, since mamma has only few children to look after and hold hands, she may be quick enough to respond. In case of God, it is a different situation. He has to hold hands of so many people in the world” – Said the younger kid.

“So whenever God seems not to respond immediately, we should realize that he would be busy holding hands of people who are in more difficult situations. –Said the elder one

A wonderful lesson on handling problems in life with patience and perseverance.
